This is an intoxicating time of year.

Down in the Med, the sun is burning away the clouds to reveal flawless skies. The breeze is warming up by the day now, and the harbours are increasingly bobbing with magnificent yachts, back after their winter hibernation and re-fits.

A glorious season now beckons, and if ever you’ve found yourself thinking vaguely about a week or two afloat ‘one day’ – we can help make that day dawn, this very summer.

At Stockbridge, we specialise in creating fully-crewed charters, and adding as little or as much help as you wish. We can introduce you to all types and sizes of fabulous yachts and, indeed, address every detail with you: from menu planning with your on-board chef to creating an enthralling itinerary. You can draw on our deep knowledge of the Med’s secret coves, inlets, islands, beaches, clubs and restaurants. And that’s one of the great joys of a luxury yacht: like a private jet, the world really is yours.

We extend our service to virtually anywhere you choose, from the Caribbean and the Norwegian fjords to the Far East. As full-service yacht brokers, we also have fabulous yachts for sale as well.

Below you can browse just a few of our enticing options. Do please then get in touch, whether you’re a novice charterer or know your way around a boat. If there’s one refrain we always hear at the end of a season, it’s “why on earth didn’t we do this sooner?”

I have no doubt you’ll be saying the same.

You could be one of the first people to board this magnificent motor yacht: Incontatto has only just been launched, and has been customised by her owner with a firm eye on creature comforts.

She exudes Italian passion and style, and sleeps ten in five sumptuous staterooms. Separate crew quarters for six ensure a full complement of staff to attend to your every whim.

A deck Jacuzzi, swimming platform, and wonderful spaces for relaxation and entertaining – coupled with toys including a jet-ski, inflatables and two seabobs – add up to an irresistible package.

Shared between 10, Incontatto can be yours, fully crewed and ready for sea, for as little as €90,000 a week, or €9,000 per person. Makes you think, doesn’t it?

Your charter might also turn out to be the ultimate ‘test drive’; her sister ship is available for sale.

30 April - 4 May.

Some 36,000 people attended this show in 2014 and this year promises to be even bigger and better. Set against a lovely historical backdrop, it marks the start of the yachting season in the Med.

Buyers and charter clients can take a leisurely look at motor and sail yachts (in roughly 50-50 proportion) and make their plans. And, of course, enjoy a fabulous weekend in Mallorca and get ahead on some sun.

Stockbridge Yachts will be there, so why not jump on a plane and join us? Whether you’re already looking to get afloat this summer, or are looking for a first introduction without any obligation at all – you’ll be most welcome.

Offered for sale for the first time, the 45-metre Salperton is whatever you want her to be. A world-class sailing yacht designed by Dubois naval architects, she has enjoyed enviable success in regattas and has sailed the world twice.

But her design also positively encourages long lazy days at sea. There’s a shaded cockpit for epic lunches that seem to stretch through to dinner, and plenty of aft deck space that demands some serious sunbathing.

She also comes equipped with kayaks, dinghies, tenders, waterskis and even her own onboard gym. She sleeps eight guests across four gorgeous staterooms, with separate crew quarters for four.

She’s based in Palma, so why not make a weekend of it and pop down and see her?

With a salty history of adventure ingrained in every timber, Orion of the Seas was built in 1910.

Beneath billowing sails, her decks have been graced by everyone from Edwardian aristocrats and idling glitterati to fearless seadogs and fierce race competitors.

Now this pulse-quickening schooner is being offered for sale, and with it the chance to acquire a piece of yachting history. She was commissioned by the Spanish royal family; created by one of the foremost British yacht designers of his time, Charles E. Nicholson; and built by Camper & Nicholson.

Today, while her glorious mahogany interior evokes a golden age of yachting, this is nevertheless a craft equipped to fully modern standards. In 2005 a team of naval craftsmen and engineers carried out a major upgrade programme that saw her stripped back to her steel frames. This was followed in 2010 by twin Caterpillar 230hp engines, giving her a top speed of 13 knots.

She accommodates ten with a level of comfort that would delight an Edwardian grandee, and her every inch justifies her nickname: ‘The Pearl of the Mediterranean.’

Across the water, in Camden USA, Stockbridge is also proud to offer for sale the cruise/racer Goshawk.

Another craft that fills the eye, Goshawk is a true sailor’s yacht and her garlanded record includes numerous trophies in the US. Yet with equal ease, she slips into the role of a luxurious family cruiser, sleeping five guests.

She has just completed a refit and re-paint, and looks and feels as new.
