Saramarto is one of our very favourite Spanish residences, so hidden in the hills it is like roaming about your own private fiefdom. And yet the nearest village is just five minutes’ drive and you can be enjoying the marinas, restaurants and beaches of Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estapona in just 20-30 minutes.
This grand finca can welcome up to 29 guests. Yet it is spacious without being cavernous, and warmly welcoming with book-lined walls, Mallorcan fabrics and antiques.
Outside, your estate comprises undulating forests, intimate spaces, organic kitchen gardens, and even a river.
A riverside alternative: Casa del Rio
Entirely separate and private, the estate also offers Casa del Rio, a spacious villa set at the foot of the mountains. This tranquil, riverside spot is perfect for a party of up to 10, and again the house is beautifully decorated and adorned with antiques.
Outside: a huge lawn, a pool tucked away behind the house, and intimate spaces for a glass or a gentle snooze.
Both houses are staffed with a cook and housekeeper, and the location is readily accessed by car (30 minutes from Marbella) or indeed via the estate’s own helipad.
